Barbara’s inspirations with watercolour originated through the teachings of Devona Paquette of Ayr. She has studied at the Haliburton School of The Arts, taken instruction with Jake Mohl, Marilyn Broome, Art Cunanan, David Crowe, Bert Williams and numerous other instructors through the Central Ontario Art Association, of which she is a member. Her paintings emphasize light effects and are created with luminous and vibrant color passages.
“There is always something on my easel,” says Barbara. "My watercolours include a variety of subject matter. I hope the viewer enjoys my paintings as much as I do creating them.”
Barbara has exhibited her work at various juried shows in Ontario. She welcomes visitors to her studio ‘Watercolour Works’ in addition to the Studio Tour event. (Please call ahead to arrange a visit.)
