Oils, acylics, and some watercolours.
My work is very realistic, includes florals, landscapes. I teach some small classes: children Sat. mornings, 9:30 to ll:30 and Thurs. pm from 4-6. Adults are Monday evenings 7-9:30 pm and Wed. mornings, 9:30 -l2 noon. My classes are fun . The students are doing incredible work-some will be available for viewing- Enjoy the atmosphere of a country studio. The children must be serious about painting. They pick out from my files, what they would like to paint. They also enjoy the hot chocolate and cookies. The adult classes have been described at very comfortable and non-threatening.
I am active in the New Dundee community-St James Lutheran Church;New Dundee Board of Trade; St. James Book Club;and a founding member of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
I have two sons and a daughter-in-law and who live nearby. We enjoy weekly Wed. night dinners.
I live in a very peaceful setting-which give inspiration to my painting, as well as my students. The views out of my windows are very serene.
From the time I can remember, I was obsessed with painting and horses. I have owned several registered Quarter Horses-my favourite was Boca Chico. I now have a beautiful dog called Leona, a border collie-lab cross. She is wonderful company and loves the children and adults who come to paint and visit. Also, part of the household is Millie, the 20 year old black cat, who bosses the dog.
I accept commissions. I have over 30 limited edition reproductions, as well as cards. I do my own framing as well as custom framing.
I market mostly now through studio tours and word of mouth. I am part of an Oxford County Studio Tour on May 3 and 4. Web site is www.oxfordstudiotour.ca.
