Gloria Kagawa's contemporary style includes semi-representational and abstract architecture, interiors, landscapes and non-objective work.

The art is multi-layered, ranging from themes of celebration and pleasure to socio-political commentary on human and environmental struggles.

Kagawa's mixed media works are combinations of original prints and paintings, collage, digital imagery and occasionally Japanese calligraphy.

Her art hangs outside Kitchener, Ontario's City Hall Council Chambers, and her work is in numerous public and private collections in North America. She is the recipient of several awards and has exhibited in the United States, Brazil, Poland, Taiwan, Holland, Japan and Spain.
