Joan Bontje, born and raised in Toronto, presently lives in the quaint town of Ayr. Over the years, the rugged beauty of Georgian Bay has been her inspiration. Joan has had a number of exhibitions and several private commissions. Joan is also Coordinator for Celebrating the Arts in The Fresh Ayr Festival.
